St. Louis pop/soul artist Drew Mantia’s sophomore release, “Some Assemby Required” came out on May 31, 2010. To launch it on it’s way, there was a CD release party at Off Broadway. Drew played a mix of his old and new songs to an enthusiastic crowd.

Despite the show being on a Monday night and a holiday travel weekend to boot, Drew Mantia drew in an impressive sized party crowd. Drew paused the action momentarily, midway through his set, to remind the audience that while having a great time, music lovers can unite to help others. He explained that 20% of all proceeds from “Some Assembly Required” CD sales will help out third world countries through his “Another Planet Fund”, which will support humanitarian charities such as Doctors Without Borders. What a win-win situation, to grab some great music and support a worthy cause!
“Some Assembly Required” definately shows Drew’s musical growth from his first CD, “Save Yourself”, with tracks that are slightly more jazz influenced, along with soulful vocals and pop-danceable beats .
