Opening fast and wild, the Kentucky indie rock band grabbed the crowd’s attention and did not let go. The solid musical mix of blues, funk and rock accompanied by lead singer Matt Schultz’s energetic vocals had heads bobbing and hands raised. Matt worked the crowd well, often leaving the stage to engage the audience. The group played the smaller Pageant stage like a full on arena concert.

They played all the fan favorites including “Ain’t No Rest For The Wicked”, “Back Against the Wall”, and held out on “In One Ear” for their first encore song. It was great to hear a few new songs as well. These will hopefully be included on their second album, which is sure to gain as much popularity as their first. If you missed this amped up, furiously fun show, be sure to catch them next time they make it to St. Louis, because it was well worth it.
